sometimes members of the list will meet up at various conventions. the most notable (as it is the most hyped and has it's own branch off list) is anime expo in california. since an awful lot of our members hail from iowa state university, and otherwise the midwest in general; it seems as if midwestern conferences get a lot of talk too. those crazy engineers and their crazy anime conventions. everyone's favorite new member, gootagirl (who hates carnival) has proposed a get together for carnival in brazil in 2003. we shall see how that develops.
